Nougat Under 1% in Android Distribution Numbers, Froyo is Finally Out

We thought that last month’s chart would be the last to include Froyo, but we were wrong. Google wanted to start the year fresh and removed Froyo from the latest distribution numbers. It’s no wonder considering that the operating system only held 0.1% of all Android-running phones.

The latest report reveals that Android 7.0 Nougat grew 0.1% to 0.5%, while 7.1 Nougat holds 0.2% of all Android-running smartphones. This is the first report to include 7.1 Nougat, last month’s numbers revealed the percentage only for 7.0 Nougat.

The number for Nougat is expected to raise in the next months, considering that more and more smartphone makers will be upgrading their phone models to the latest Android version, including Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge on Janu… (read more)
