All Google Phones Now Getting Updates on Day One (If You Check Manually)
Getting the latest updates for your Android phone quickly, even if you have an official Google device like the Pixel 2, is a gamble. But now Google seems to have fixed that and users should be able to receive updates as soon as possible.
Google prides itself on the fact that the Android users are getting constant security updates and various upgrades for the operating systems. Well, at least that’s the case for Google built phones. But even for those devices, the updates don’t usually arrive as soon as possible for users, and that can be a little bit annoying.
According to a DroidLife report, Google had a system in place that provides updates over an extended period of times. That’s understandable for a couple of big reasons. First of all, sending the updates to everyone, all at once, can put a strain on the servers.
