Android N Developer Preview 5 Shows If An App Was Installed from the Play Store

Google has just released the Android Nougat Developer Preview 5, which is the last developer preview to be provided to users before the official unveiling of Android Nougat 7.0. This developer preview came with a really interesting and exciting Easter Egg, aside from other useful features that developers will surely benefit from.

Aside from this, the developer preview also came with some really neat features that are meant to improve user experience.

According to a user from Google+, when the user accesses the app’s information page on the smartphone running Android Nougat 7.0, the page will show whether the application was installed from Google Play Store or through the device’s package manager, specifically through a third-party APK.
