Google’s Allo and Duo Apps Get New Icons in the Play Store

During this year’s Google I/O, the company announced Allo and Duo applications for messaging and video calls. While the apps were quite well received, Google representatives stated that they would be released this summer. Now, it seems that the apps got new icons in the Play Store.

At the time of the announcement in May, Google wasn’t quite finished working on the two apps and as it turns out, the company has just decided to change the app icons in the Store.

At the time of the announcement in May, Allo had an app icon with red background while Duo came with a blue background. They were color schemes aimed at differentiating the apps from Google’s major messaging application, Hangouts, that comes with a green background…. (read more)
