Nexus 5X Gets an Extra 2GB of RAM Upgrade for $60 in China

One of the most important things that customers look for in a smartphone is RAM capacity, especially in a market where an extra 1GB of RAM makes a big difference. Some phone makers, like Samsung, go as far as releasing variants of their flagship smartphones, with more RAM in certain countries.

However, local Chinese companies have found a solution for people who are keen on their phones, and don’t want to exchange them just because they have low RAM capacity. For $60, a company from China managed to add 2GB of RAM to XDA member Cathair2906’s Nexus 5X and thus up the RAM capacity to 4GB.
