Opera Browser Updated with Google Chrome Security Fix
Opera has just received a new update that provides users with the security update that Google also included in the latest Chrome version.
Opera 58.0.3135.90 is thus available on all supported desktop platforms, and it comes with rather minor changes besides the aforementioned security fix.
Discovered in late February, the vulnerability was patched by Google on March 1 with Chrome 72.0.3626.121. The flaw was already targeted by exploits, and Google urged everyone to update as soon as possible.
“Google is aware of reports that an exploit for CVE-2019-5786 exists in the wild,” Google said in its update announcement.
Clement Lecigne, Threat Analysis Group, also recommended users to manually check if the latest version of the browser is installed.
