As a tech journalist, I’ve been exploring the latest developments in ChromeOS and the Chrome browser, and I’m excited to share some insights on the new personal health coach preview. This innovative feature is designed to provide users with personalized coaching and guidance to help them achieve their fitness and wellness goals. When I first logged in, I had an initial conversation with the coach about my fitness levels, health, and wellness status, and set some goals for the year, including running a marathon or 50K and getting more sleep.

However, as I continued to use the coach, I found that my goals had changed, and I wanted to focus on strength training and improving my heart rate variability (HRV). Luckily, adjusting my goals was super easy, and I simply started a chat with the coach to make the changes. After a brief conversation, I received a new workout schedule, new insights, and more.

One of the features that really impressed me was the proactive insights provided by the coach. I asked about my sugar intake, and the coach offered some initial thoughts, but then followed up a few days later with another insight about glucose and activity. This suggested that my body was processing sugars just fine, given my high activity and cardio levels. The coach also offered an unprompted insight about social jet lag, which motivated me to adjust my sleep schedule and calendar.

These insights are particularly relevant to Chromebook users, who can access the coach through the Chrome browser or the Fitbit app. The Google ecosystem is also integrated, allowing users to easily switch between the coach and other Google apps. While nutrition logging is not yet available in the coach, it is available in the current Fitbit app, and users can easily switch between the two versions.

Overall, the personal health coach preview is an exciting development for ChromeOS and Chrome browser users, offering personalized coaching and proactive insights to help them achieve their fitness and wellness goals. With its easy goal adjustment feature and integration with the Google ecosystem, this feature has the potential to make a real impact on users’ lives. As the coach continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how it integrates with other Google apps and services, such as Google Fit and Google Health. For now, users can try out the preview and experience the benefits of personalized coaching for themselves.
