A Review of FlexClip: The All-In-One Online Video Editor

While many people are chasing the latest and greatest in online video editors, many of us would benefit from ONE, simple editor that does it all! Today I want to share with you the video editor that I use.

There are so many online video editors out there now, how do we choose one that really helps us out, day-to-day?

Many of us are only interested in the new shiny tools and thus never really take hold of the practicality of what’s there for us to use now.

And the other half refuses to use online tools at all(like my mom lol smh!)

Well, in this post I want to help you find a balance between these two extremes.

We’re at the point in history where tools like Canva, Adobe Express are available to make us more productive and efficient in our day-to-day tasks by acting as go to video editors, whether for a quick or long video.

How I use FlexClip

Alright, let’s look at some screenshots and examples on how I am currently using FlexClip. I am a beginner so keep that in mind. 😉

1. Upload your own files

You can upload your media from your phone, laptop, desktop or online cloud storage like Google Drive, Google Photos, OneDrive and Dropbox.

2. Choose a video template

The screenshot does not show all the templates you can choose from but yeah, they have a bunch and they are organized with different tags for you to browse through.

3. Choose audio from their collection

FlexClip has a lot of audio to use and yes, you can use the audio on YouTube because the audio’s you find in their collection is free to use on other platforms so you don’t have to worry about copyright issues etc and yes, you can upload your own audio/songs/voice overs etc if you want.

4. Glance at what AI tools I can use

This is the reason I even signed up to try FlexClip, their AI powered tools and as you can see it does resemble Canva’s AI tools and that is a good thing. You get tons of AI tools with more expected to be added as time goes.

My current favorite AI tool has to be the AI image generator, yes I know, sort of weird when we are talking about videos but you will see what I mean below, but regardless, all their AI tools work great, here is a short audio generated by their AI text to speech feature which works GREAT. Yes, you can adjust the tone, speed, accent of the AI and tons more variables.

5. Choose images from their library

They have a lot of images that you can use in case you don’t want to upload your own and they are all categorized in different categories and they update and add new ones from time to time so always check that area for new stuff.

6. Generate your own image using AI

Honestly this might be my favorite feature, yes I know plenty of other Ai tools like ChatGPT, CoPilot, Adobe Fly etc can all generate images but I just have to say, I did NOT expect their Ai generator to be this good! I wrote a simple prompt, something like “An anime character with red eyes, with a black hoodie holding a sword” and well, the results are right below, and it didn’t even take 2 minutes to create this either.

7. Choose the video or text effects

You can choose your own video effects and trust me, they have plenty to choose from and as you can see, they are organized in different categories to make it easier for you browse.

8. Edit & Save videos with cloud storage

Below is a screenshot of me when I was creating my first video, I can preview the entire video and my corrections/edits live and see how it all comes together because the video is saved in the cloud storage, meaning I can logout or leave my browser tab(or close it), come back later or tomorrow and pick up right where I left, an underrated feature if you ask me, and you get up to 1TB of cloud storage with their business plan.

9. Check out my first video

I’ve found it very helpful and I plan to use it daily because a lot of you, like myself, love video content so I might as well start creating some for you all, and trust me, I will get better with each one.
