Steam-On-ChromebookHello everyone, how are you all doing today? I hope you are all having a great day so far. My day is going pretty good, I am here about to watch some new Anime that was just started to air about a week ago. If anyone else loves Anime or comic books like we do, please leave a comment lol, anyway, please read on…

Today we are going to report some awesome news especially for those of you who love Android, Chromebooks and also love your Windows PC. What if I told you, you will be able to run Windows Apps on your Android/Chromebook computers? Wouldn’t that be amazing!? Well, you really can, let me explain.

What Is CrossOver?

CrossOver is a piece of software that lets you install and run Windows software on Mac and Linux and it finally coming to Android! Which if you didn’t know basically means it is also coming over for Chrome OS because Google is already working on merging the two systems together so that Android Apps can run on ChromeOS!

CodeWeavers, the development company behind this software tested it out on an Intel-based Chromebook that supported the Google Play Store. Here is a direct quote…

“We were able to install the Steam Client into CrossOver for Android and run LIMBO and other games,” they wrote.

“We have DirectX 9 support, keyboard support, mouse support, and sound support today! People, we are staring at a Leprechaun riding on the back of a Unicorn while taking a picture of a UFO. We are running CrossOver through Android on a ChromeBook running a Windows based game launched from the Steam client.”

I have a passion for dogs, food, and cars, and I also have a deep interest in Chromebooks and cloud gaming/servers. I'm usually the first one in our office to try out new apps or games so if there is a trend, I am usually the first one to try things, good or bad lol.
