Hello everyone, you can download Pokemon GO for Chromebook and play one of the most popular ‘anime’ games ever, with well over 100 million installations according to Google’s Play Store.

Today we will highlight some reasons why we think you should for sure try this game on your ChromeOS device. I have only been playing it in for the last 2 days and of course I first started playing this game way back in 2018, even then I know I was a bit late on this game even back then, I played it for awhile and then lost interest quickly. Now that I heard it actually works on Chromebooks, I get it a shot and viola, it does work! Of course even with this, it’s not necessarily new news, I will just admit that I completely forgot about this game until a few days ago when I was adding Pokémon UNITE on our website, that’s when I remembered this game and I tried it on my Chromebook and it worked, smoothly as well. You will obviously need a Chromebook with a camera as this game all about augmented reality which utilizes your Chrome OS devices camera, is there one without a camera these days? But I will stress this, your Chromebook needs to have a tablet mode which allows you to use a rear camera for AR to work, you can still play the game without AR but that isn’t as fun is it?

Lol, anyway, takeout your Chrome OS device and try the game but, like I stated in my previous post, this still applies to this game, I was a bit scared…”When I installed this game on my Chromebook, I was bit nervous, I thought it might not even work, some game developers purposely block Chromebook’s because they detect them as emulators, sigh, a story for another day but to my surprise, it worked perfectly on my backup Lenovo Duet 2-1 Chromebook and I was so glad it did!” The gameplay was smooth and the graphics are good enough for “mobile” gaming. I think a lot of you will definitely get hooked on this game and I do have to warn you, if you are a Pokémon fan, this game is addicting, in a good way!

By the way, you will need a touchscreen enabled Chromebook so make sure if you decide to play it on your Chromebook, check our list of Chromebooks that can run Android apps and games. If your Chrome OS device is on the list or if it was made after 2017, it can most likely run this game without any issues.
