NVIDIA has added DLSS 4.5 controls to GeForce NOW, which means Chromebook owners can now fine-tune how supported games look and run in the cloud. The news came in this week’s GFN Thursday post, alongside launch-day streaming for Enshrouded 1.0 and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2.
What the DLSS 4.5 controls do
Three main options: DLSS Super Resolution sharpens image quality, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation aims for smoother play with lower latency and less stutter, and Ray Reconstruction improves ray-traced visuals.
Best on Ultimate: Ultimate members streaming on GeForce RTX 5080 cloud rigs get the maximum options, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 4X.
Pick your balance: NVIDIA says the controls let you tune supported games for image quality, responsiveness or a mix of both. Examples it names include 007 First Light, CONTROL Resonant and Resident Evil Requiem.

What each plan gets: according to NVIDIA’s support page, the options depend on your membership:
How to find the controls on a Chromebook
Step 1: open the GeForce NOW app, or play.geforcenow.com in Chrome. NVIDIA lists both the Chrome OS app and the Chrome browser on Chromebooks as supported.
Step 2: go to Settings, then Gameplay, then Streaming Quality, and click Details to change each value. NVIDIA recommends the Recommended preset for most people.
Step 3: launch a game that supports DLSS and turn on the matching DLSS setting inside the game.
Step 4: press Ctrl+N during play to open the in-game overlay and check that the overrides are active.
Good to know: the settings apply to every game, so change them before you launch a title if you want different values. Some games may opt out. New to the service? Our GeForce NOW on Chromebook guide covers setup and requirements.
Enshrouded 1.0 and Boltgun 2 stream at launch
Enshrouded 1.0: Keen Games’ co-op survival action RPG leaves early access with nine new spells, new mage and archer skills, reworked wands and a new biome. The level cap rises to 50 and the equipment cap to 55. Streaming means you skip the 60GB local install.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2: the retro shooter sequel brings more enemies and weapons, a branching single-player campaign and two playable characters, the Sternguard Veteran Malum Caedo and the Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath.

The 10 new games this week
Availability: NVIDIA notes that dates are store release dates, and games are added to GeForce NOW through the week, so a title may appear a little later.
Also new: NVIDIA says its DLSS 5 neural rendering model is now twice as fast. The faster model debuts in NBA 2K27 on Oct. 16, including on GeForce NOW.
